Barelang Bridge at Night

After a year living alone, went home to Batam and with the few unplanning small trip, my family decided to have a date night with all of them together, driving around Batam. From Batam Center, Marina and then ended up with some grilled corn by the Barelang Bridge.

It's the usual spot I've been visiting since I was still 4 years old. The same beaches, the same forest, the same bridge. Just more and more people living in this small island. Added with few new faces in family as well.

In the end of the bridge you'll find so many small stores, the traditional one. Sell few soda drinks and some snacks. Peanuts and grilled corns always the best option to have since they use traditional spices for the grilled corns.

it's a hot one

It would be better to use car to drive at night because you have to ride for almost 2 hours in the forest to get to the bridge. There's 7 bridges after Barelang bridge. I forgot all their names, they're named after local hero Tanah Melayu (Island of Malay).
